SCOTLAND'S ULTIMATE DENTAL

SPA IN EDINBURGH PROVIDES

Say goodbye to your typical scale and polish and hello to the revolution that is

Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT).

Here at VitaliTeeth we strive to provide the highest standard of treatment for our patients and that is why we have invested in the latest technology and protocol to help improve the oral health of our patients.

GBT is the new state-of-the-art approach within dental hygiene appointments that consists of 8 steps. The aim of GBT is to eliminate all biofilm on teeth, implants and soft tissues and teach patients how to control it themselves at home.

And why is this important you ask? Well biofilm is the main cause of gum disease and tooth decay.

The treatment is given in the least invasive way, with the highest level of comfort, safety and efficiency.

Here’s what our Dental Hygienist/Therapist Rebecca has to say about it:

“The biggest complaint I get when cleaning patients teeth is the pain and sensitivity they experience, mainly from the cold air and water. This can make a hygiene appointment particularly uncomfortable and can limit the success of the treatment or render the need for local anaesthetic, which again patients do not like.

This is no longer a problem as our new equipment delivers warm air and water turning a dreaded hygiene appointment into a pleasant experience that patients can actually enjoy. In addition the powders that we use are clinically proven to be the best at removing biofilm and keeping it at bay. Once more they are more effective at removing staining in less time without causing any damage to the tooth, implant or soft tissues.

GBT allows us to deliver the highest standard of treatment in the most minimally invasive way without causing discomfort to the patient. And who doesn’t want that? Happy Patient, Happy Hygienist.”
