Meet  Dr Nikolaos Vourakis

​

Dr Nik was invited to join the Team at Edinburgh Leith"s Premier and life transformational Dentist - Vitaliteeth Dental Spa in 2017 after searching the 4 corners on the globe to find an exceptional Smile Revolutionary missing tooth and Dental implant Expert!  We managed it!..... and then found a way to get him here......to help benefit the great folks Edinburgh!

Dr Nik has worked exclusively with Vitaliteeth Dental Spa and recently has offered his services to other clinics so their patients too can benefit from his skills!

Dr Nikolaos Training: 

Dr Nik graduated as a dentist in 2005 from the prestigious Military Academy Medical School at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, named after the famous Greek philosopher.  Dr Nik decided very early on in his career that he wanted to pursue a surgical field of practice. 

Dr Nik moved the Greek Capitol of Athens to pursue his surgical training  at a military hospital where undertook  a 2 year residency. Whilst serving as a military surgeon he was posted to Afghanistan from 2006-2007.

Since graduating Dr Nik has with great vigour and endeavour pursued his passion for academic knowledge of Surgical dentistry. 

​

Successfully completing initially a postgraduate diploma in Dental implants in Athens and then going onto do his master of Science degree in Frankfurt, Germany. 

​

Post Graduate Diploma in Oral Implantology:  Ethnikon Kapodistriakon University of Athens

​

Master of Science Degree(MSc) in Oral Implantology: Goethe University of Frankfurt Germany. 

​

In addition to this DR Nik, continues to dedicate much of his time to continued  learning travelling all over Europe to attend courses involving a variety of procedures and courses in dental implanvology and oral surgery, believing that his patients should have access to the latest techniques and advances in the field!

 

Furthermore Dr Nik provides mentoring programmes to trainee dental surgeons and also takes referrals from dentists in Scotland at Vitaliteeth dental Spa.

Dr Nikolaos Referrals

Dr Nik is an opinion leader for DENTSPLY Sirona. In  2018 was a finalist for Dentist of the Year The Dental Awards and he is a registered member of the International Team of Implantology  (ITI).
